Grand Manner Buildings

As promised some close ups of the buildings used in our Border Reiver games. All are from Grand Manner and are meant to represent buildings from the late 16th century in the north of England.
First one is of a small cottage and it's interior (did I mention that all the roofs lift off?).

Next is a cottage with attached outhouse.
Then a wooden barn on brick footings. (The two white marks on the door frame are there in preperation for the rafters to be fixed in place. Inside you can see brick footings for the four wooden support columns).

Next is the farm outhouses. A stable and an adjoining sty (the sty we glued the roof in place since it was too small to be usable).

Finally the Bastle house. This impressive feature has a detachable roof revealing the wooden floor and fireplace (it can only be reached from the door at the top of the stairs on the outside). The wooden floor lifts out (we made the hole in the floor to make it easier to remove) to reveal the animal house below.

All buildings are purchased as seen (unpainted of course). All the walls are cast on the model and the bases included.
We have bought a number of additional walls to match in with the dry stone look from Grand Manner and very nice they are too.
Models were painted by Malcolm Taylor, Andy Hamilton and myself (though more by Malcolm than me) of the Grimsby Wargames Society.
