BLUE RHYTHM DE CHANEL NAIL COLOURS IN VIBRATO (665) & FORTISSIMO (681)

Blue Rhythm de Chanel Collection was released last month in Australia.  The collection is -
"inspired by the spirit of JAZZ, this makeup collection celebrates the boldness of BLUE."
It features two new limited edition nail colours: Vibrato (665) - a vibrant, electric blue (no shimmers), and Fortissimo (681) - a dark, denim blue with subtle shimmers that are more evident in sunlight.

Packaging
All Chanel nail polishes come in the square-shaped glass bottles. The square cap at the top can be removed and used to rest your finger tip on as you apply the nail polish.
The applicator brush is thin allowing for precise application. It makes it particularly easy for those with little or narrower nails.
On My Nails...
I applied two coats on my nails with no base or top coat.  For reference I have medium, olive (~NC30-35) skin tone.  Unless specified, all swatches were photographed indoors using a strobe.

FORMULA & APPLICATION
Both nail colours require at least 2 coats for full/opaque coverage.  Their formula is consistent with most of Chanel's nail polishes in that it's not too thick or too thin and applies fairly easily and evenly. There were bubbles upon application of Fortissimo, but there were very few and tiny that they're negligible and fortunately don't bother me.  All Lacquered Up on the other hand, reports. much worse bubbling in her experience so you may want to try in store first.  Also, I recommend applying a base coat as blue nail polishes have a tendency to stain your nails, especially something dark like Fortissimo.  I haven't fully tested the longevity of these yet, but Chanel nail polishes typically last up to a week on my nails with very minor tip wear.

KEY INGREDIENTS
"A bioceramic-based active ingredient, phycocoral, delivers calcium, iron, zinc and magnesium to the nails to strengthen them. Ceramides to help hydrate the nails. - A high concentration of pigments and/or pearlescent pigments for an intense lacquered result. A formula enriched with a cotton-derived resin for a sheer, shiny and resilient coat of colour. Formulation free of toluene, formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and camphor. Dermatologist tested."

SIZE
13 ml / 0.40 fl. oz. of product.

AVAILABILITY
Available now at Chanel beauty boutiques and Chanel counters in Myer and David Jones in Australia while limited edition stocks last.

OVERALL
While there is much love of Vibrato in the blogosphere, I found myself surprisingly much more enamoured with Fortissimo against my olive skin tone.  Its "Chanel-esque" sparkles and depth of colour makes it a bit more complex and beautiful.  Still, I have an undying love of blue and both of them are unique in my collection so I'm pleased that I purchased both. ;)  Vibrato will be a fun one to wear for spring and summer.

Hope this was helpful.

Thanks for looking! ^_^ xo

What is your pick?  Are you team Vibrato or Fortissimo?  Perhaps both? ;-)
