PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN PAYS A CONDOLENCE VISIT TO FAMILY OF ORONTO DOUGLAS

President Goodluck Jonathan today paid a condolence visit to the wife of his aide, Oronto Douglas who died today of cancer related illness.

He was accompanied on the visit by his Vice President, Sambo and former Governor of Bayelsa State,  Alamiyeseigha.

In a message released through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati, President Goodluck described Oronto Douglas as a distinguished son who served his country, state and the Niger Delta region dilligently and passionately.

President Jonathan said he remained thankful to God Almighty for the brilliance and resourcefulness that Oronto brought to bear on every assignment he was given as a dutiful and loyal aide.
